# HIBERNIANS ARE CALLED TO ORDER IN STATE CONVENTION *The Daily Missoulian, Friday morning, August 26, 1904, p. 2.* Fully 100 delegates, representing every division in the state, are attending the grand lodge of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, which was opened in this city yesterday morning. This is the seventh biennial session and a number of matters of importance to the order are under consideration. The meeting was called to order at 9:30 and immediately thereafter the delegates marched to St. Patrick's church, where a special mass was celebrated by Rev. Father DeThove, who attended as an honored and impressive servant. Immediately after the conclusion of the mass at the church the delegates again assembled at the lodge room in the Eckhart building, which is at the headquarters of the session in name. ## President's Report Read. The first on the program was the address of D. J. Hennessey of Butte, state president of the organization. [Other divisions also listed; not all names fully recoverable.] ## Wild Aged Insurance In all probability the plan of adding life insurance feature to the work of the organisation in Montana will be taken up at this convention. The matter will come before the meeting, and the committee which has the matter in charge has prepared a number of recommendations which it is desirable that the meeting throughout the state, after which division voting is also done, after several meetings, by the various lodges. […] ## Social Events in Evening The evening session was given over to social enjoyment. At the Greensan pavilion an excellent supper and refreshments were served. Afterward there was a dance at which the members of the local order, with their ladies, mingled in showing every courtesy and attention to the guests. Five transportation was provided by the local for the journey from the hotels to the pavilion and return, and if there was anything ever lacking it was that there was nothing to indicate that the visit of the delegates, it was the visit of conviviality. ## Annual State Meeting Plans.
