Per Oliver Murphy's 2026-05-11 email: PJM's brother (both sons of Seamus Mor + Peig Harrington). Stayed in Beara (did not emigrate). Married **Julia Sullivan** of Scrahan on 11 Feb 1890. Per the 1901 Census of Ireland James was aged 32 (= b. ~1869), spoke Gaelic + English, unable to read. 14 children documented over 1890s-1910s; 11 surviving per 1926 Census of Ireland. Sons John (b. 02/12/1891) and Patrick (b. 05/04/1895) were among the crew of a seine-fishing boat that died in the 1918 Kilcatherine fishing tragedy (= the 1918-12-10 Butte Miner / Anaconda Standard archive clipping). Both were members of the Ballycrovane Company, 5th Battalion, Cork 5th Brigade IRA. Their brother Daniel (Dan) was also an IRA member (received medals + military pension; died 1970s). Daughter Mary Ann (b. 28/03/1898) emigrated Park City Utah 28 July 1922; m. Patrick Fagen 8 July 1925; died of breast cancer. Granddaughters Pamela + Paula visited Ballycrovane 2025 (Ancestry DNA reconnection). Eldest son Stephen emigrated Quebec; m.
