James Murphy is secretary of the Anaconda branch. Two-day sales (Tuesday and Wednesday March 2-3 1920) totaled $1,422.50 (including voluntary pre-drive purchases continuing through Wednesday noon when the official drive opened in Anaconda). Davidson quoted: "From all indications the drive will be even more successful than we had dared hope. No drive has ever been more willingly subscribed to." ANACONDA-SIDE NOTE. James Murphy as secretary of the Anaconda branch is likely DISTINCT from JJM-Centerville-AOH (= person_ james_j_murphy_centerville_aoh), who was named to the SILVER BOW COUNTY committee in the Jan 1920 organising piece (not the Anaconda branch). Anaconda is 25 miles west of Butte and its Irish-American organisations were separate. Two-records rule applies until evidence consolidates.

• The Anaconda James Murphy (secretary of the Anaconda branch of the American Commission on Irish Independence) is most likely a different person from JJM-Centerville-AOH (Silver Bow County committee).
