(a) The premier Butte Irish-American social event of 1911 held at the Silver Bow club — Butte's elite businessmen's club, NOT a Hibernian hall. Attendees span Democratic Party state office (Lt. Gov. Allen invited), newspaper editors (W. W. Walsworth Anaconda Standard), county judges (Lynch), priests (Rev. McCormick, Rev. P. J. Crowley), copper-trust attorneys (C. F. Kelley = Cornelius F. Kelley, ACM legal counsel), department-store proprietors, lawyers, and the recurring AOH cluster. JJM and Patrick Lyne attend alongside Jeremiah J. Lynch (= Judge Lynch / person_jeremiah_ j_lynch_ballycrovane) and W. K. Dwyer (= the W. K. Dwyer whose 1918 Kilcatherine cousin drowning JJM also figures in). (b) JEREMIAH J. LYNCH appears in the attendee list with his given name — second independent confirmation (after 1910-09-13 AOH state convention) of Judge Lynch's given name. (c) "James Brown" in the attendee list — likely James M. Brown, the Division 2 financial secretary from 1909-12-18 election.

PATRICK. *The Butte Daily Post, Friday, March 17, 1911, p. 5.* The banquet given at the Silver Bow club last evening was attended by representative Irish-Americans from all parts of the state of Montana. From the heights of patriotism, love of the banner of Green, and loyalty to the Eagle, the addresses last night carried the listeners over the waves that part the New World from the Old, to the little Island that sleeps on the bosom of the wave. The curtains of the future were rolled back and the brightness of the days that await limned in silver lines. The banquet was handsomely appointed. P. J. Brophy was chairman. Open questions

  • The Silver Bow club venue itself deserves a place record — Butte's elite men's club, a different social space from the Hibernian halls. Add place_silver_bow_club_butte on the back-pass.
  • Cornelius F. Kelley (C. F. Kelley) at an Irish-American banquet 1911 — promote to a person record? He's the central ACM legal/corporate figure. The Butte Irish bourgeoisie's relationship to ACM is a major book theme.
