# LEARNED LECTURE BY CANON O'DALY ## THE INDUSTRIAL AND LANGUAGE REVIVAL IN IRELAND HIS SUBJECT AT HIBERNIA HALL. *The Butte Daily Post, Thursday, December 15, 1910, p. 5.* Rev Canon O'Daly of Ballaghadereen college, Ireland, will deliver a lecture on the "Industrial and Language Revival in Ireland" tomorrow night at Hibernia hall, Centerville, under the auspices of the Hibernians, the Ladies' auxiliary and the Gaelic league. An interesting musical program has been arranged for the evening by the ladies of the auxiliary and a cordial invitation has been extended by the Canon to all Irish and Irish Americans in the city as well as those of other races who feel inclined to come and hear his lecture on the Ireland of today. The Canon stated at The Inter Mountain office this morning that there are many changes in the condition of Ireland in recent years. Education has spread its beaconlight over the land; the land war has been brought to an almost successful finish; the farmers have been restored to their holdings; the grazing lands have been divided up among the hitherto evicted tenants, and an era of prosperity faces the country. Canon O'Daly will tell of the work done by the Gaelic league and the Irish industrial revival movement in contributing to this end. The following program will also be given during the evening: Instrumental duet — violin and piano — John McNamara and Miss Mary Murphy. Song in the Gaelic tongue, the children of the Gaelic league.
