Timothy "Tady" Murphy (1992-letter framework — DISFAVORED 2026-05-28)
Also known as: Tady Murphy, Timothy Murphy
family confidence: 0 — not family / context
**DISFAVORED FRAMEWORK 2026-05-28.** Originally proposed as Pat Murphy the bartender's father per the 1992 Donald V. Murphy reader's letter (Montana Standard, 1992-05-29). The letter claimed Tady was son of Michael C. Murphy of Clounaglaskin, born 1825, had 15 children of whom 8 emigrated to Butte: Kit, Julia, Michael, Dan, Johney, Pat, Jerry, Cornelius — and that "Pat" in that list was the 1858-born Cork bartender (= our Pat). Per user reassessment 2026-05-28: the Ballycrovane / Seamus Mór framework ([[person_seamus_mor_murphy_pjm_father]], DNA-confirmed via Oliver Murphy 2026-05-11 email) is now the working parental theory for Pat. The Tady record is preserved for archival continuity and for re-evaluation if independent Tady-line documentation surfaces, but no longer treated as a candidate Pat ancestor. The father_of relationship below is preserved as historical-claim documentation but should not be relied on as a live family connection. Pending uploads (per docs/TODO.md): the Ballycrovane letter + Annals of Beara citations the user has promised will further close the framework choice.

Family notes (private; from people.yaml)
DISFAVORED. Originally fc=10 as provisional Pat-ancestor per the 1992 letter. Demoted to 0 on 2026-05-28 once the user asserted the Ballycrovane / Seamus Mór framework as the correct line. The "8 Butte-emigrant children" first-name cluster (Kit, Julia, Michael, Dan, Johney, Pat, Jerry, Cornelius) may still describe a real Cork-emigrant family in Butte — just not Pat's family of origin. Preserve the record; re-evaluate if any Tady-line document surfaces independently of the 1992 letter.
