Companion to the Anaconda Standard's "ONLY ONE SURVIVES IN PARTY OF SIX" on the same day — same drowning, different paper, more compact report. James J. McCarthy (here with middle initial J, the Standard wrote M — one is a typo), secretary of the Centennial Brewing company, received word that his nephew Jack Sullivan had drowned with four other young men off the Irish coast returning from a fishing trip. Jack Sullivan was "a famous athlete and at one time held the all-around championship of West Cork." Richard and Robert Dwyer, also lost in the same accident, "were cousins of James Murphy of the Hennessy company." Accident Nov 11 — boat struck rocks near the shore and was dashed to pieces. The Miner's account drops the Kilcatherine parish name (the Standard preserved it) and the Butte aunt/uncle addresses (the Standard had them).
