Town on the head of Kenmare Bay, north of the Beara peninsula. The Kenmare RC parish covers a portion of the Kerry side of Beara including Tuosist and Rusacussane townlands. Site of the 1820 Timothy Shea baptism; the Kenmare-Kerry-Lyne family cluster (Christopher Lyne d. 1887 NY estate) was administered out of Kenmare per the 1887 estate probate.
