James Chatham (Butte Precinct 5 Dem delegate 1904)
family confidence: 50 — candidate (user review)
Named delegate to the Silver Bow County Democratic Convention 14 May 1904, representing Precinct 5. Almost certainly a Butte- resident Chatham of the JJM-in-law branch — most plausibly either a brother of Mary Chatham Kelly (JJM-1927d's mother-in- law) or a son of John A. Chatham b.1829 (JJM's wife's grandfather, who died Butte 1901). The 1940 Mary Chatham Kelly obit named only surviving sisters (no brothers), but James Chatham could have predeceased Mary or simply not been counted in that obit's naming convention. NOT YET resolved against the GEDCOM Chatham line.
